Stephen,
Thanks for your comment. CA often use software and can call from any number. BUT that does not matter!

If they are calling you, that is a big problem and you have to take action against it.

Are there any other phone numbers that RPR Holdings Inc uses? I know they have called me what seems like hundreds of times but I can't find 770-649-1000 on any of my phone records going back over a year.

Madeline C,
Thanks for your comment.

You may have recourse if you were never served a summons in your state. You may not need a lawyer and you may be able to get this dismissed QUICKLY.

To answer at least 3 of your questions and to give you direction for what to do next, you must go to our ABOUT US page and set up a one hour counseling session about INDENDENCE RECEIVABLES CORPORATION.

This is VERY serious.

I am currently being sued by INDEPENDENCE RECEIVABLES CORPORATION which I just recently saw on my credit report. According to my credit report it's a Civil Judgment, but the problem is I've never received anything from the courts stating I had to appear in court or from IRC saying they were suing me. I'm a student, and can't afford a lawyer, and wouldn't even know how to go about getting this settled. I have recently been able to start paying off some of the debit that I owe, but I can only do so much so fast. To top it all off I'm not even sure which account they couldn't have been charged off with since none of my credit cards owed $1518 (All are much less even with the interest that has been added)

What would happen once I appear in court? If it's in my credit report since 2010/09 then I can only guess that I was supposed to appear in court a few months ago? If they win the case is there usually payments that I would have to make or will they have me pay the amount owed in full in one payment?

I am completely confused and scared of what could happen with this.

Thanks,
Madeline C.

Jaye,
Thanks for your comment. We strongly suggest you file and Answer and Affirmative Defenses Pro Se (to begin) if you cannot afford an attorney. Immediately. You can GO TO THE TAB “how to answer” on our site and use it.

If you need consulting during this time and assistance with filing, we can schedule that too.

This has nothing to do with CHASE. It is junk debt and you can fight it.

I being sued by Stellar Holdings, Inc., Assignee of Chase Bank with the above mentioned Roy Regin, Jr., listed as the attorney for over $7,000 on a Chase Credit Card. They note the credit card account on a Statement of Account page they have attached to their Statement of Claim page from the court and also included a Bill of Sale page showing that Chase sold accounts to Vion Holdings and a second Bill of Sale page showing that Vion Holdings sold 775 accounts for $1,000 to First Financial Investment Funds Holdings, LLC and three months later entered into a receivable purchase agreement with Stellar Holdings.

My court date is in less than two weeks and I was wondering what the best way is to fight this?

Thanks!

Wesley,
Thanks for your comment. This is an odd one but we are not shocked. IRC is grasping for all types of alleged accounts. Yes this is a scam. You will need to challenge IRC. You can do this yourself (see our sample letters) or arrange a counseling session with us (about us page).

I had a credit card account that i admit i got behind on with Barclays Bank. I settled with a law firm here in Phoenix and received a letter from the law firm that the account was settled in full. This was in Oct 2008. Last week i received a letter from AvanteUSA stating they had aquired this account from Independence Receivables Corp and would settle for 40 cents on the dollar. I contacted Barclays and they show the account was turned over for collections 2 and a half years ago but no activity since then. So I am guessing Independence is pulling a scam.
